The 28″ Flip-Over Levelawn is a heavy-duty, dual-sided tool designed for efficient turf levelling and topdressing. Its unique flip-over head allows for both spreading and working material into the turf, ensuring a smooth, professional finish. Built by BMS for lasting performance.

The 28-inch Flip-Over Levelawn is a proper, no-nonsense tool for groundsmen and greenkeepers who need to get surfaces level. Made here in our UK workshop from heavy gauge steel, it’s built to withstand daily professional use without fuss. Its main feature is the dual-sided head: one side is flat and smooth for spreading topdressing, the other has a sharp, angled edge for breaking up lumps and working the material right into the turf.

This two-in-one design saves you time and trips to the shed. First, you lay down your topdressing. Then, using the smooth side, you can quickly distribute it across the area. Once you’re happy with the coverage, a quick flip of the frame lets you use the aggressive edge to cut down any high spots and properly integrate the dressing with the soil. This simple, manual control is exactly what you need for achieving a consistent, professional finish on greens, tees, or sports pitches.

The Levelawn comes with a heavy-duty 6ft aluminium handle, giving you the leverage and reach you need. The 28-inch (71cm) head is a practical size for a wide range of jobs, from smaller repairs to larger renovations. Like all our Levelawns, it’s a tool trusted by grounds teams at top venues across the country for one simple reason: it does the job reliably, every time.

How It Works

  • Spread your material: Lay your topdressing (sand, loam, or soil mix) across the area you need to level.
  • Initial spread: Use the smooth, flat side of the Levelawn head to push and pull the material, spreading it evenly over the turf.
  • Work it in: Flip the head over to the sharp, angled edge. Use this side to break up any clumps, cut down high spots and work the dressing into the base of the grass.
  • Repeat as needed: Check the surface and make a few more passes if necessary to get the finish you’re after.
